Jeera futures increased on expectation of rise in export demand though on the spot a mixed trend was seen. On the NCDEX, jeera July contract gained ₹55 to ₹11,185/quintal with an open interest of 5,487 lots. Arrivals remained low but thin demand in mandis was unable to provide any clear direction to the price movements. At Unjha, jeera was traded down nominal by ₹5-7 to ₹1,760-2,371 for a maund of 20 kg, while in Rajkot it was up ₹10 to ₹1,840-2,011.
