Higher imports and fears of weak monsoon have lifted prices of a majority of pulse seeds in Indore mandis in the past two days. With the strengthening of dollar against rupee, imported pulse seeds have turned costlier, leading to rise in prices of pulse seeds in Indore mandis. Tur (Maharashtra) on Wednesday ruled at ₹4,300, while tur (Madhya Pradesh) was quoted at ₹3,700-3,850. Tur dal (full) was being quoted at ₹6,200-6,300, tur dal (sawa no.) at ₹5,800-5,900, while tur marka ruled at ₹6,600-6,900.
Moong prices declined to ₹5,300-5,600 (₹5,600-5,900) on limited buying at higher rates. Similarly, moong (medium) declined to ₹4,800-5,000 (₹4,900-5,200). Moong dal (medium) was quoted at ₹6,500-6,600, moong dal (bold) at ₹7,000-7,100, while moong mongar ruled at ₹8,000-8,200.
Urad (medium) also declined by ₹100 to ₹4,200-4,500. Urad dal (medium) was at ₹5,900-6,200, urad dal (bold) at ₹6,300-6,500, while urad mongar ruled at ₹6,700-7,100 a quintal.
