Despite weak global cues, majority of oils in Indore mandis traded higher on improved festival demand with soya refined rising to ₹670-72 for 10 kg, while soya solvent rose to ₹635-40. Palm oil ruled at ₹638-40, while groundnut oil was quoted at ₹830-50 (up ₹20 from last week). Amid weak arrival with majority of mandis in Madhya Pradesh and elsewhere in the country remaining closed, mustard seeds prices were quoted higher at ₹4,400, while raida ruled at ₹3,400 a quintal. Plant deliveries of mustard seeds were at ₹3,945-50 a quintal. Soyabean ruled firm at ₹3,100. Reports of crop damage on account of recent rains has affected trading sentiment in soyabean. Arrival of mustard seeds across the country remained on the lower side at 70,000 bags.
