Imported pepper which was being traded in the consumer markets earlier, has now entered the primary and terminal markets.
Primary market dealers in Nedumkandam in Idukki and Bathery in Wayanad have imported pepper from Sri Lanka and were trading at 485/490 a kg, market sources told Business Line .
Spot prices stayed unchanged at ₹48,300 (ungarbled) and ₹50,300(garbled) a quintal.
Indian export prices were at $8,100 a tonne c&f for Europe and $8,350 a tonne c&f for the US.
