Spot pepper fell further on Monday on availability of imported pepper at cheap rates, trade sources told Business Line .
On terminal market, 12 tonnes were traded today. Of this, 10 tonnes were imported stuff which were traded at ₹420 a kg. Two tonnes of High Range pepper were traded at ₹435 a kg. Spot prices fell by ₹200 a quintal to ₹42,900 (ungarbled) and ₹44,900 (garbled) a quintal. Export prices were at $7,150 a tonne c&f for Europe and $7,400 a tonne c&f for the US.
