Ten tonnes of Sri Lankan pepper of 550 GL imported by paying 8 per cent duty were traded here on Wednesday at ₹540 a kg. High range pepper (18 tonnes) traded at ₹545 a kg while 10 tonnes of Wayanad material were traded at₹535 a kg. Spot prices remained unchanged at ₹53,600 (ungarbled) and ₹55,600 (garbled) a quintal. Indian export prices were at $9,875 a tonne c&f for Europe and $9,125 a tonne c&f for the US.
