Monsoon woes push up pulses

Amid report of poor monsoon this year, prices of majority of pulse seeds in Indore mandis saw a vertical gain with tur (Maharashtra) going up ₹200 to ₹7,400 a quintal, while tur (Madhya Pradesh) rose to ₹6,000-6,300.

Tur dal (full) rose to ₹10,000-200, tur dal (sawa no.) at ₹9,600-9,700, while tur marka ruled at ₹10,600-800. Weak arrival also lifted moong and its dal with moong (bold) at ₹6,800-7,200, while moong (medium) ruled at ₹6,300-6,500.

Moong dal (medium) ruled at ₹8,800-9,100, while moong dal (bold) was ₹9,500-10,000 and moong mongar ₹10,200. Urad (bold) was being quoted at ₹8,300-8,400, while urad (medium) ruled at ₹7,500-7,600.

Urad dal (medium) rose to ₹9,900-10,000, urad dal (bold) at ₹10,100-200, while urad mongar declined to ₹11,100-500.
