Spot pepper continues to gain on Wednesday on good demand amid squeezed supply.
On the terminal market eight tonnes of high range pepper were traded at ₹495 a kg while five tonnes from Pulpally and Bathery material were traded at ₹490 a kg.
Spot prices moved up by ₹100 a quintal to close at ₹48,200 (ungarbled) and ₹50,200 (garbled) a quintal.
Indian export prices were at $8,100 a tonne c&f for Europe and ₹8,350 a tonne c&f for the US.
