Pepper gains marginally

Spot pepper gained marginally on some buying support. On the terminal market, 45 tonnes were traded today.

Of this, 30 tonnes were imported pepper and they fetched ₹405 a kg. 10 tonnes of Wayanad pepper went for ₹407, while five tonnes of High Range material were traded at ₹420 a kg.

Spot prices gained by ₹100 a quintal to ₹42,100 (ungarbled) and ₹44,100 (garbled). Export prices were at $6,950 a tonne c&f for Europe and $7,200 for the US.
