The pepper markets on Wednesday ruled steady on sluggish activities. Arrivals continued to remain thin.
On the terminal market five tonnes of pepper from the high ranges were traded at Rs690 a kg. Wayanad pepper was quoted at Rs685 a kg.
Spot prices were steady at Rs68,100 (ungarbled) and Rs71,100 (garbled) a quintal.
October, November and December contracts on the IPSTA also stayed steady at Rs72,000, Rs66,000 and Rs63,000 a quintal.
Indian export prices were at $11,025 a tonne cf for Europe and $11,275 a tonne cf for USA.
Vietnam was offering 550 GL at $7,500 a tonne while Lampong Asta was also quoted at $7,500 a tonne. Brazil was offering Asta at $7,300 a tonne. e.o.m.
