The pepper markets on Wednesday remained steady on limited activities. Some 20 tonnes of Pulpally-Bathery pepper from Kerala's Wayanad disrict bought by leading exporters and inter-state dealers at ₹700 a kg were delivered in Palakkad, they said. Five tonnes of high range pepper were traded at ₹703 a kg outside the terminal market, they said. Spot prices remained unchanged at ₹69,000 (ungarbled) and ₹72,000 (garbled) a quintal. August, September and October contracts on the IPSTA stayed steady at ₹72,000, ₹71,000 and ₹70,000 a quintal. Indian export prices were at $10,950 a tonne c&f for Europe and $11,200 a tonne c&f for US.
