Pepper slips on Govt policy

The spot pepper fell on Tuesday on reports of likely removal of suspension of imports from Vietnam by the Union government soon. Spot prices dropped by ₹200 a quintal to close at ₹59,400 (ungarbled) and ₹62,400 (garbled) a quintal.

March contract on the IPSTA was steady at ₹63,000 a quintal. Indian export prices were at $9,775 a tonne c&f for Europe and $10,025 a tonne c&f for US.
