Spot pepper prices slipped on Monday on slack demand as buyers were hesitating to buy at prevailing rates here.

Buyers said they were getting imported material cheap in all the markets across the country.

On the terminal market 5 tonnes of high range pepper were traded at ₹490 a kg.

Spot prices declined by ₹100 a quintal to close at ₹48,200 (ungarbled) and ₹50,200 (garbled) a quintal.

Indian export prices were at $8,100 (ungarbled) a tonne c&f for Europe and $8,350 a tonne c&f for the US.
