Pepper prices stayed steady in the absence of activities on the terminal market. However, bolder looking Karnataka pepper was available at ₹685-₹695 a kg delivered any where in India, is available in the upper Indian markets, they said.
Spot prices stayed steady at ₹69,000 (ungarbled) and ₹72,000 (garbled) a quintal. August, September and October contracts on the IPSTA remained unchanged at ₹72,000, ₹71,000 and ₹70,000 a quintal. Export prices moved up despite steady markets here on currency factors to $11,000 a tonne c&f for Europe and $11,250 for the US.
