The Rajkumari pepper grown in Idukki district of Kerala reputed for its high bulk density (565-570 GL) fetched higher rates on Thursday at the Muharat trading.
One tonne of it was traded at ₹451.25 a kg.
On the terminal market, 11 tonnes of pepper were traded today. Of this, 10 tonnes, including imported material were traded at ₹421.25 a kg.
Export prices were at $7,225 a tonne c&f for Europe and $7,475 for the US.
