After witnessing a fall earlier this week, prices of aromatic and non basmati rice varieties continued to rule firm at previous levels on Thursday.
Amit Chandna, proprietor of Hanuman Rice Trading Company, told Business Line that situation of the market was anticipated. After the recent fall, a steady trend is prevailing in the market, he said. Bulk buyers are keeping themselves out of the market, only need based buying is taking place currently and any further fall in prices is unlikely, said Chandna.
According to the trade experts, the market may continue to witness a steady- to range- bound trend even in the coming days.
