The spot pepper prices fell on Wednesday on selling pressure. Spot prices fell by ₹400 a quintal to close at ₹59,000 (ungarbled) and ₹62,000 (garbled) a quintal. On the terminal market 45 tonnes were traded at prices ranging between ₹570-605 a kg. March contract was steady at ₹63,000 a quintal. April and May contracts were at ₹62,000 and 62,000 a quintal respectively. Indian export prices were at $9,750 a tonne c&f for Europe and $10,000 a tonne c&f for US.
