The pepper markets fell on selling pressure and fear of increased availability. More pepper from Karnataka is arriving amid talks of Vietnam stock also landing here. On the terminal market, 29 tonnes were traded at ₹575-590 a kg. Spot prices fell by ₹200 a quintal to close at ₹57,800 (ungarbled) and ₹60,800 (garbled) . May, June and July contracts fell by ₹1,000 a quintal on the IPSTA to close at ₹58,000, ₹57,000 and ₹57,000 respectively.
