Sugar prices at mill level further dropped by ₹20 a quintal on normal bulk demand. At the Vashi market, prices ruled flat but naka rates declined by ₹70 as old stocks were resold with heavy discount.
Arrivals to the Vashi market were steady at 58-60 truck loads and local dispatches were at 56-58 loads. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹3,220-3,372 and M-grade ₹3,320-3,605. Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,200-3,300 and M-grade ₹3,270-3,400.
