Silver prices jumped Rs 836, or 2.66 per cent, to Rs 43,834 per kg in futures trading today as precious metals rebounded in global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September traded Rs 836, or 2.66 per cent, higher at Rs 43,834 per kg in business turnover of 28,800 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in December traded higher by Rs 1,148, or 2.64 per cent, to Rs 44,680 per kg in 171 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions created by speculators largely in tandem with a rebound in the global market following robust physical demand, influenced silver prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, in Singapore silver climbed 3.5 per cent to $21.28 an ounce, the highest price since June 20.
