Silver futures prices today declined by Rs 313 to Rs 57,946 per kg, as speculators offloaded their positions, tracking a weak trend in the Asian region.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May fell Rs 313 or 0.54 per cent to Rs 57,946 per kg with a business turnover of 7,459 lots. Similarly, July contract moved down by Rs 297 or 0.5 per cent to Rs 59,436 per kg in 257 lots.
Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators triggered by a weak in the Asian region mainly pulled down silver prices at the futures trade.
Meanwhile, the white metal lost 1.26 per cent to $32.99 an ounce in Singapore.
