Taking weak cues from global market and profit-booking by speculators, silver futures prices today fell 0.58 per cent to Rs 41,903 per kg.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver prices for delivery in December fell Rs 245 or 0.58 per cent to Rs 41,903 per kg in a business turnover of 107 lots. Similarly, the white metal prices for delivery in September lost Rs 221 or 0.53 per cent to trade at Rs 41,125 per kg in 3,702 lots.
Analysts said a weak trend in the precious metals overseas amid speculation the price rally this month may damp demand, mainly weighed on silver prices at the futures trade here.
Meanwhile, silver shed 0.5 per cent to $20.06 an ounce in Singapore today.
