Tracking a weak trend overseas, silver prices declined 0.18 per cent to Rs 57,300 per kg at the futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May fell Rs 105 or 0.18 per cent to Rs 57,300 per kg with a business turnover of 1,299 lots. Similarly, the metal for delivery in July shed Rs 108 or 0.17 per cent to Rs 58,909 per kg in 59 lots.

Analysts said besides a weak trend in the Asian region, absence of any cues from domestic markets, kept pressure on silver prices at the futures trade here.

Meanwhile, the white metal lost 0.58 per cent to $32.40 an ounce in Singapore.
