Amid a weak trend overseas, silver prices fell 0.31 per cent to Rs 33,395 per kg at the futures trade today as speculators tightened the bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September traded lower by Rs 104 or 0.31 per cent at Rs 33,395 per kg in a business turnover of 634 lots.
Also, the white metal for delivery in far-month December was trading lower by Rs 100 or 0.29 per cent at Rs 34,130 per kg in a business volume of 26 lots.
In the international market, silver traded 0.1 per cent lower at $14.48 an ounce in Singapore.
Market analysts said reports of a weak trend in overseas markets led to the fall in silver prices at the futures trade here.
