Silver prices edged higher by 0.26 per cent to Rs 35,790 per kg at the futures trade today after speculators enlarged positions amid a firm trend overseas.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May was up by Rs 93 or 0.26 per cent to Rs 35,790 per kg in a business turnover of 1,534 lots.

Also, the white metal for delivery in July traded higher by Rs 22 or 0.06 per cent to Rs 36,254 per kg in 11 lots.
