Silver prices moved up by 0.35 per cent to Rs 38,505 per kg at the futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March went up by Rs 134 or 0.35 per cent to Rs 38,505 per kg in a business turnover of 358 lots.

Likewise, the white metal for delivery in May gained Rs 135 or 0.35 per cent to Rs 38,800 per kg in two lots.

Analysts said enlarging of positions by speculators amid positive cues from the global markets mainly kept silver prices higher at the futures trade.

Meanwhile, the white metal rose 0.5 per cent to $17.45 an ounce in Singapore.
