Silver prices rose Rs 353 to Rs 43,950 per kg at the futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions buoyed by a firm global trend.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July traded higher by Rs 353 or 0.81 per cent at Rs 43,950 per kg in a business turnover of 3,663 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in September traded higher by Rs 335 or 0.76 per cent to Rs 44,371 per kg in 251 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions built-up by speculators buoyed by a firm global trend, mainly influenced silver prices at the futures trade here.
Meanwhile, the white metal rose 0.2 per cent to $21.91 an ounce in Singapore.
