Buoyed by pick-up in demand, silver prices traded higher by Rs 58 to Rs 56,263 per kg at the futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May rose Rs 58 or 0.1 per cent to Rs 56,263 per kg with a business turnover of 7,340 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in July shed Rs 53 or 0.09 per cent to Rs 57,949 per kg with an open interest of 334 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in silver futures to pick-up in demand supported by the ongoing marriage season.
