The uptrend in mustard oil seen in the past few days halted on drop in buying support at higher levels.
On Thursday, mustard oil ruled static with traders staying away from buying at higher rate.
Mustard oil remained unchanged in mandis across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat with its price in Indore being quoted at Rs 785 for 10 kg, while it was Rs 778 in Neemuch, Rs 790 in Morena, Kota - Rs 785, Shree Ganga Nagar - Rs 788, Jaipur - Rs 800, while in Gujarat it ruled at Rs 780 .
Prices of mustard seeds in Indore mandis have also remained unchanged in the past one week. It is ruling stable at Rs 4,400-4,500 a quintal on subdued buying support .
Similarly, rapeseed in Indore mandis ruled stable at Rs 3,900.
On Thursday, mustard seed November and December contracts on the NCDEX ruled at Rs 4,201 (unchanged) and Rs 4,278 a quintal (up Rs 9). Plant deliveries for Jaipur line was at Rs 4,400-20 a quintal (Rs 55 lower from last week).
Arrivals were recorded at 85,000 bags against 50,000 bags in Rajasthan, 54,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, UP-7,000, Punjab-10,000, Gujarat-4,000 bags and 9,000 bags elsewhere in the country.
