Spot pepper continued to witness a sharp fall on Tuesday on selling pressure of imported pepper. On the terminal market only 12 tonnes were traded at ₹510-520 a kg. Spot prices fell by ₹600 a quintal to close at ₹52,200 (ungarbled) and ₹54,200 (garbled) a quintal. Indian export prices were at $8,725 a tonne c&f for Europe and $8,975 a tonne c&f for the US.
