Easier trend continued to persist in spot pepper markets following availability of imported pepper at lower rates. On the terminal market, 24 tonnes — mostly imported stuff — were traded at ₹420 a kg. High Range and Rajkumari pepper sellers were offering at ₹430 and ₹440 a kg. Spot prices fell by ₹200 a quintal to ₹42,500 (ungarbled) and ₹44,500 (garbled). Export prices were at $7,075 a tonne c&f for Europe and $7,325 for the US.
