Spot pepper prices stayed hot on limited supply amid good demand. On the terminal market, 3 tonnes of high range pepper traded at ₹715 a kg and Rajkumari at 720 a kg while 20 tonnes of Wayanad pepper were traded at ₹710 a kg. Spot prices moved up further by ₹200 a quintal to ₹70,000 (ungarbled) and ₹73,000 (garbled) a quintal. September, October and November contracts on the IPSTA were steady at ₹73,000, ₹72,000 and ₹66,000 a quintal. Export prices were at $11,125 a tonne c&f for Europe and $11,375 for the US.
