Bearish reports of rise in availability at lower rates have hammered down the spot pepper prices and thus in a week the market fell by ₹2,000 a quintal. Spot prices fell by ₹600 a quintal to close at ₹56,100 (ungarbled) and ₹59,100 (garbled) a quintal. Indian export prices were at $9,225 a tonne c&f for Europe and $9,475 a tonne c&f for the US.
