Spot pepper slips

The spot pepper prices slipped on Thursday on limited activities. Spot prices declined by ₹100 a quintal to close at ₹69,500 (ungarbled) and ₹72,500 (garbled) a quintal. August and September contracts on the IPSTA remained steady at ₹72,000 and ₹70,000 a quintal while October contract moved up by ₹1,000 a quintal to close at ₹70,000 a quintal. Indian export prices were at $10,950 a tonne c&f for Europe and $11,200 a tonne c&f for US.
