Spot pepper ruled steady on Thursday on matching demand and supply. 26 tonnes of pepper including 16 tonnes of imported pepper were traded. Imported material traded at ₹420 a kg while 10 tonnes of high range pepper were traded at ₹450-455 a kg, trade sources told Business Line . Spot prices remained unchanged at ₹43,200 (ungarbled) and ₹45,200 (garbled) a quintal.Indian export prices were at $7,200 a tonne c&f Europe and $7,450 for the US.
