Physical rubber prices were unchanged on Saturday. The weekend session was rather inactive, as the domestic futures finished weak on the National Multi Commodity Exchange. Sheet rubber closed steady at Rs 157 a kg at Kottayam and Kochi according to traders and the Rubber Board.
The February series weakened to Rs 158.99 (159.67), March to Rs 161.50 (162.03), April to Rs 164.40 (164.87) May to Rs 166.75 (168.82), June to Rs 170.46 (170.50) and July to Rs 167.61 (172.25) a kg on NMCE.
Spot rates were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 157 (157); RSS-5: 152.50 (152.50); ungraded: 147 (147); ISNR 20: 153 (153) and latex 60 per cent: 103.50 (103.50).
