Spot rubber turned better on Tuesday as sellers stayed back expecting a short term recovery in the market. RSS 4 improved to ₹141 (140) a kg according to traders and the Rubber Board. The grade firmed up to ₹138.00 (137) as reported by the dealers. The trend continued to be mixed and volumes low. May contracts concluded at ₹142.30 (142.85), June at ₹147.15 (147.02), July at ₹148.40 (147.78) and August at ₹146.97 (143) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE). RSS 3 (spot) firmed up at ₹144.43 (143.74) at Bangkok. May futures declined to ¥.263.1 (₹153.23) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates (₹/kg) follow: RSS-4: 141 (140); RSS-5: 137 (136); Ungraded: 125.50 (124.50); ISNR 20: 122 (122) and Latex (60% drc): 94 (94).
