Tea output rises 150%

Tea companies in Nilgiris have informed Tea Board that thanks to good rains, their production in April has increased by a whopping 149.35 per cent over April 2016. They have reported a production of 1.92 million (mkg) in April against 0.77 mkg in April 2016. This increase of 1.15 mkg marked a gain of as much as 149.35 per cent.
