Pulse seeds and pulses showed a mixed trend in Indore with tur and urad gaining on higher imports and weak arrival, while masur and moong traded low with arrival outstripping demands. Tur (Maharashtra) on Wednesday ruled at ₹6,000 a quintal, while tur (Madhya Pradesh) was ₹5,500-5,600. Tur dal (full) was being quoted at ₹7,900-8,000, while tur dal (sawa no.) was quoted at ₹7,500-7,600 and tur (marka) at ₹8,300-8,700 a quintal.
Weak arrival and higher imports also lifted urad prices in local mandis by ₹200 a quintal, with urad (bold) being quoted at ₹6,400, while urad (medium) ruled at ₹5,500-5,700. Urad dal (medium) traded at ₹6,800-7,000, urad dal (bold) at ₹7,100-7,200, while urad mongar ruled at ₹7,900-8,200.
Downtrend continued in moong with arrivals outstripping demand. On Wednesday, moong (bold) declined to ₹7,500-7,700. Moong dal (medium) went for ₹8,600-8,800, moong dal (bold) ₹9,100-9,300, while moong mongar ruled at ₹9,000-9,500.
Sluggish trend also continued in masur with masur (bold) plunging to ₹4,500 (down ₹300 from last week), while masur (Madhya Pradesh) was ₹4,200.
