The first level screening of teas for the 15th edition of The Golden Leaf India Awards (TGLIA) was held at The United Planters Association of Southern India (UPASI), Coonoor, on Saturday.
Arun Kumar, Convener, Organising Committee, TGLIA, said that as many as 152 entries from 44 estates/companies were received for the first level screening from the different agro-climatic regions — Nilgiris, Wayanad, Anaimalais, Travancore, High Ranges and other minor tea growing regions, including entries from Bought Leaf Factories.
“The competition is becoming more intense with every passing year,” he said
