Wheat dara weakens on adequate supply

In restricted activity, wheat dara prices traded lower by Rs 5 per quintal on the wholesale grains market on adequate supplies against reduced offtake. However, other grains held steady in limited deals.

Traders said adequate supplies on increased arrivals from producing regions mainly kept pressure on wheat.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) declined by Rs 5 to Rs 1450-1455 per quintal, while atta chakki delivery traded lower by the same margin to Rs 1455-1460 per 90 kg.

Wheat MP (deshi) 2,000-2,200, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,450-1,455, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,455-1,460, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 210, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 210, Roller flour mill 790-810 (50 kg), Maida 820-850 (50 kg) and Sooji 950-990 (50kg).

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,000, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice, 9,500, Basmati common new 7,900-8,000, Rice Pusa-(1121) new 7,600-8,300, Permal raw 2,300-2,550, Permal wand 2,500-2,600, Sela 3,500-3,600 and Rice IR-8- 1,900-1,950, Bajra 1,425-1,430, Jowar yellow 1,525-1,575, white 2,225-2,425, Maize 1,515-1,520, Barley 1,210-1,215, Rajasthan 1,080-1,090.
