Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank tumbled on Friday after the NSE announced that both would be excluded from derivatives segment.
The stock of Dena Bank crashed 7.5 per cent at Rs 49.95 while Vijaya Bank fell 5.35 per cent at Rs 38.90 on the NSE.
The NSE said in a circular on Thursday that trading in futures and options contracts of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank would not be available from November 29.
“However, the existing unexpired contracts of expiry months September, October and November would continue to be available for trading till their respective expiry and new strikes would also be introduced in the existing contract months,” the exchange added.
