India’s foreign currency reserves rose $1.96 billion in the week ended March 15 to $292.31 billion.
The reserves had declined by $224 million to $290.35 billion in the previous reporting week.
The country’s foreign currency assets, which form a chunk of the reserves, were up $1.97 billion at $259.35 billion in the reporting week. Gold reserves remained unchanged, while the country’s special drawing rights in the IMF fell by $3.3 million
