Sustained capital outflows and an overwhelmingly bullish dollar against major currencies predominantly weighed on the local forex sentiment. The rupee came under pressure following a sudden reversal in dollar movement over season rising Treasury yields alongwith speculation that President Donald Trump might favour a monetary “hawk” as successor to Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen.
