Financial Technologies has renamed itself as ‘63 moons technologies’ to reflect the company’s new strategy to focus on business opportunity in Digital India, especially in social media analytics and cloud technology.

The company’s board of directors approved the name change and the proposal awaits approval of its shareholders and Registrar of Companies. The company has taken inspiration from the 63 moons of Jupiter, the most powerful planet in the universe and stands for knowledge, wisdom, foresight, growth and prosperity, it said in a note to shareholders.

The company intends to create a laboratory of global standards to explore innovative packaged solutions in the key areas of Internet of things, artificial intelligence (AI), speech recognition and behavioural science. “The lab is named JS Innovation Lab, as a mark of recognition and respect to our founder who built FTIL from the ground up,” said Venkat Chary, Chairman, FTIL Group.

63 moons will participate and partner in the development of technologies and innovative packaging solutions for medicine/life sciences, space, sports, education, digital media, etc.

“We have set our vision to partner 108 new digital giants over the next 10 years where we believe that India is poised to have 10,000 digital brands compared with one lakh new digital brands built by China in the past 10 years,” he said.
