Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened lower at Rs 28,970 per 10 grams on Friday against the previous close of Rs 29,022.
It made a high of Rs 28,967 and low of Rs 28,930. It was trading down by 0.18 per cent at Rs 28,970 at 1.48 p.m.
In Comex, the yellow metal for April delivery was down by $1.4 at $1,551 a troy ounce.
