Gold futures on MCX opened lower at Rs 28,606 per 10 grams against yesterday's close of Rs 28,651.
It may continue to trade weak with prices touching Rs 28,400 later in the day on strong dollar.
Gold in Mumbai spot market opened at Rs 2,766 per gram. It closed at Rs 2,814 on Tuesday.
Gold in the US market was at $1592 a troy ounce at 12.30 p.m. today.
Gold in Comex closed at $1604 a troy ounce yesterday.
