Gold prices rose 0.58 per cent to Rs 27,383 per 10 grams at the futures trade today after speculators widened their bets, taking positive cues from global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in far-month April was up by Rs 157 or 0.58 per cent at Rs 27,383 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 47 lots.
The metal for delivery in February moved up by Rs 138 or 0.51 per cent to Rs 27,438 per 10 grams in a turnover of 637 lots.
Market analysts said rise in precious metal in global markets influenced gold prices at the futures trade here.
Meanwhile, gold climbed as much as 0.67 per cent to $1,149.30 an ounce in Singapore today.
