Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange were trading lower by 0.31 per cent at Rs 26,648 per 10 grams at 12.40 p.m. on Tuesday.
August contract opened lower at Rs 26,666 against the previous close of Rs 26,725. It made a high of Rs 26,706 and low of Rs 26,541.
In Comex, the yellow metal for August delivery was up by $4 at $1,281 a troy ounce at12.40 p.m.
