Gold futures jump to Rs 30,964 per 10 gm

Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened higher at Rs 30,964 per 10 grams on Monday against the previous close of Rs 30,907.

February contract made a high of Rs 31,025 and low of Rs 30,964. It was trading up 0.17 per cent at Rs 30,960 at 12.48 p.m.

In Comex, the yellow metal for February delivery was up by $9 at $1,658 a troy ounce.

With absence of major cues from the international market, gold will take signals from rupee movement against dollar. Gains in gold prices in the domestic markets will be limited if rupee appreciates against dollar.
